Ten more dead from COVID-19 Friday; 516 more cases throughout B.C.

VICTORIA — Health officials in B.C. are reporting 516 new cases of COVID-19 Friday (Nov. 20), including 31 in Interior Health.

The new cases bring the B.C. total to 25,474, spread through the province as follows:

• 7,404 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 148)
• 15,742 — Fraser Health (up by 294)
• 446 — Island Health (up by 17)
• 1,203 — Interior Health (up by 31)
• 588 — Northern Health (up by 25)
• 92 — Reside outside of Canada (unchanged)

There are 7,122 active cases of COVID-19 in B.C. Friday, with 227 people in hospital and 57 in intensive care.

Within Interior Health, there are 235 active cases, with just one person in hospital. That patient is in intensive care.

Ten more people have died from the virus, bringing the provincial death toll to 331.

The total of those considered fully recovered from COVID-19 has reached 17,477, or 69 per cent of all recorded cases.
