CP Rail begins 2.5-kilometre track build through Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — CP Rail says it has begun exploratory work ahead of laying more than 2.5 kilometres of new track through Kamloops.
According to an update to the rail company’s website, the company has begun locating underground utilities and is conducting an Archaeological Impact Assessment in conjunction with Tk’emlups te Secwepemc.
The company says the project will build additional track along its mainline and should be complete by April, 2021.
Kamloops residents may notice noise and dust, but CP says it will try to limit all work to daytime hours.
