Prince George fire investigators continue to search for evidence in fatal motel fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Fire investigators continue to comb the scene a fire in downtown Prince George that claimed three lives yesterday (July 8).

Police say specially trained fire investigators with the RCMP will be at the scene of the fire for a number of days gathering evidence.

“The Prince George RCMP is hoping to speak with anyone that may have video or still images within a two-block radius of the motel between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Wednesday July 8,” says RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass.

“Those that can assist are asked to contact the detachment at 250-561-3300. Dashcam video while driving by, cell phone images or security surveillance images, would be greatly appreciated.”
