VICTORIA — B.C.’s state of emergency over COVID-19 has been extended by two weeks for the fourth time.

Premier John Horgan announced the extension at his regular weekly briefing Wednesday (May 13).

The state of emergency was initially declared on March 18 as the virus began spreading widely inside British Columbia.

Horgan says even though active COVID-19 cases are declining in the province, the crisis is not over yet and British Columbians need to continue to be vigilant.
