WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) is asking residents to prepare their properties for flooding, and says high water is already taking a toll on some areas.
In a news release, the CRD says above-average snowpack and spring weather are combining to spur fears of flooding in the weeks ahead.
In preparation for that flood danger, the district is offering unfilled bags and sand at its Wildwood and Miocene volunteer fire department halls.
The district also advises residents to sign up for the Cariboo Chilcotin Emergency Notification System.
