Remains of missing Quesnel man found

QUESNEL, B.C. – The remains of a 25-year-old missing Quesnel man have been found.

A man hiking on the shore of the Fraser River called the police to report he had found human remains and after investigation, the Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service identified that the remains belonged to 25-year-old Darryl Leblanc of Quesnel.

RCMP had an open investigation to locate Darryl after his father reported him missing on Jan. 24 of this year. He was last seen alive on Dec. 30, 2019.

RCMP would like to thank the family and the public for providing investigators with tips during the investigation.
