Freshly Brewed Entertainment Buzz with Jameela Jamil and Lauren Conrad
EXPERTS EXPECT WEINSTEIN VERDICT SOON: Legal experts say that a verdict may be coming soon in the Harvey Weinstein case. Deliberations head into their second week today. Defense lawyer Michael Bachner tells Page Six: “It sounds to me, based upon the deadlock note and the fact they’ve indicated they’ve reached a verdict to some counts, I think we should be expecting a verdict on Monday. Either a partial verdict, where the jury says we can’t come to a conclusion on the undecided counts, or there’s going to be a full verdict. There will be a verdict on Monday based upon the notes.” (Page Six)
JAMEELA JAMIL HITS BACK AT PIERS MORGAN: Piers Morgan and Jameela Jamil are at it again. In a tweet, the TV host claimed that he and the late Caroline Flack once discussed Jamil privately, and that she struggled with the “hate she aims at me.” Jamil compared the late Flack’s show The Sujury, in which people convinced a faux jury that plastic surgery would make them happier to the Black Mirror. Jamil responded: “I simply said I found the show ‘surjury’ (not her) problematic for kids to watch. And that Love Island needed some more diversity. Both times Caroline instigated debate with ME even though I was not targeting or blaming her at all. I always just politely explained my point.” (E!)
LAUREN CONRAD WON’T DO REALITY TV: She’s done! The Hills fan favorite Lauren Conrad won’t return to reality television, she tells ET: “I’m not gonna do it, but I appreciate that [fans want it]. Several of her comrades did return for a reboot of the popular show, and fans have been vying to see her since. (ET)
