Justin Bieber Hits New Milestone

Justin Bieber has become the first artist to hit 50 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

The singer, who got his start on the platform back in 2007, holds steady as the most-subscribed artist on YouTube.

In January 2007, the then-13-year-old singer posted cover videos of himself under the currently defunct account name “kidrauhl,” showing off his fresh takes on classics by Usher, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Ne-Yo.

“Started as #kidrauhl and now this. Thank you,” he tweeted Wednesday with a screenshot of the news.

In the past year alone, Bieber has earned more than 3 billion YouTube views on all his videos. The official music video for “Yummy” takes the cake, according to Billboard, debuting at No. 1 on the YouTube Global Top Videos chart last month and reaching the Top Songs charts in more than 50 countries and territories since its release. It’s been viewed over 150 million times already

The first episode of Justin’s new YouTube Original series, Justin Bieber: Seasons, is also now YouTube Originals’ most-watched debut episode to date, reaching over 97 countries. The series unveiled its fourth episode Wednesday, focusing on Justin’s relationship with wife Hailey Bieber.

Meanwhile, Bieber has unveiled all the artists featured on his upcoming fifth studio album, Changes, following the announcement of the project’s tracklist

In addition to previously released guest turns by Kehlani (“Get Me”) and Summer Walker (“Yummy [Remix]”), Bieber’s first LP in nearly five years will include features from A-list hip-hop talent including Travis Scott (“Second Emotion”) and Post Malone, newcomer Clever (“Forever”), and fellow Scooter Braun management client Lil Dicky (“Running Over”).

Bieber was also spotted earlier this week filming a video for his pending collab with Quavo, titled “Intentions,” which is also set to be featured on the album.
