Swiss Chalet Kamloops location to close permanently

KAMLOOPS — Another chain restaurant is closing up shop in Kamloops.

Swiss Chalet, located at 1395 Hillside Drive, will close at the end of business this Friday (Feb. 7).

The restaurant opened seven years ago and employs 27 people.

The restaurant is operated by Recipe Unlimited, which ran the local Milestone’s and Montana’s locations in Kamloops until they both closed last May.

In an email to CFJC Today, management confirms the Harvey’s location, under the same roof, will close as well.

Management says Recipe Unlimited decided to close the Kamloops location for “financial reasons”.

In a news release, management of the local restaurant expressed thanks to their local customers as well as school PACs for their support.
