Kamloops Montana’s, Milestones locations to close this month

KAMLOOPS — Two chain restaurants in Kamloops will be closing up shop before the end of the month.

Montana’s and Milestones, each run by Recipe Unlimited, are set to shutter. According to Kamloops Montana’s supervisor Lee McKinnon, 30 to 35 jobs will be lost, with the closing date for May 26.

A manager with Kamloops Milestones says its closing date is slated for May 10, with roughly 45 jobs being lost.

Montana’s is located in the Walmart plaza, while Milestone’s is located a short distance up the hill near the Chapters bookstore.

CFJC Today reached out to Recipe Unlimited Chief Financial Officer Ken Grondin, who said he was “not in a position to comment” at this time.

Recipe Unlimited also runs Swiss Chalet, Harvey’s, East Side Mario’s and New York Fries, among several other chains.
