ALICIA KEYS GOT THROUGH GRAMMYS HOW? ET caught up with Alicia Keys and asked her how she managed to host the Grammy Awards after learning of the death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant just hours earlier. She said: “This was a really hard night, and that’s why I think it was a roller coaster. It was painful, it’s painful right now. We lost a beloved, beloved hero to all of us. A person who is like a true example of brilliance and excellence.” Keys continued: “It’s not easy to go forward with all of that weight. But I think that the energy that he always brought and that fighting spirit… is what brought us through tonight.” (ET)
ARIANA GRANDE CHANGES LYRICS: After reconciling with her father, Ariana Grande changed the lyrics of her hit, “Thank U, Next,” which she performed Sunday at the Grammys. Grande sang “I’ll be thanking my dad because he is so awesome,” instead of “I’ll be thanking my dad/’cause she grew from the drama.” Grande fell out with her father following her parents’ divorce. Walking the red carpet, they each wore an accessory to honor him. Chopra wore a #24 on her nails, a reference to his jersey number, and Jonas clipped a purple ribbon to his suit in his memory.
