Shots fired inside Quesnel home

QUESNEL, B.C. – A report of shots fired came into RCMP at around 5:34 this morning (Jan. 22).

Police responded to a residence on River Park Road where they confirmed that several shots were fired at the residence. Occupants of the home were not injured at the time of the shooting.

RCMP say the suspects are believed to have left the scene before police arrived.

“It is believed this shooting was a targeted incident and it is very fortunate that the occupants of the residence and the surrounding neighbours were not injured,” said Sgt. Richard Weseen.

The incident is currently under investigation with the help of the Quesnel General Investigation Section and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section. Anyone with information is asked to contact Quesnel RCMP at (250) 992-9211.
