JOSE BAEZ SUES ROSE MCGOWAN: Jose Baez is suing Rose McGowan for suggesting he was “bought off” by Harvey Weinstein, Page Six reports. McGowan hired him in 2017, after being charged with drug possession, but later claimed on social media and in the press that he was “shady,” and implied he was truly working in the interest of Harvey Weinstein, who later hired him. McGowan, of course, was one of Weinstein’s most vocal accusers. He is now being tried for rape in New York. The suit, filed in Illinois, alleges: “McGowan knew that her criminal conviction harmed her reputation and her ability to sell her new book, ‘Brave.’ As a result, McGowan and her attorneys … concocted a malicious scheme to salvage McGowan’s reputation at the expense of the reputation of Baez.” The suit claims, “Defendants … have gone so far as to astonishingly contend that Weinstein somehow planted the … cocaine in McGowan’s wallet … and that McGowan should thus never have [pleaded] guilty.” (Page Six)

JONATHAN CHEBAN VICTIM OF BURGER CHAIN COLLAPSE? Kim Kardashian‘s BFF-turned-culinary-meme Jonathan “Foodgod” Cheban has become swept up in the collapse of Burgerim, a failed food chain, Page Six reports. He promoted the brand heavily on social media, brought Kardashian with him to one, but is now taking legal action against one. His lawyers are demanding that Burgerim “all sums due to [Foodgod]” and that it cease and desist using his image or “making representations that Mr. Cheban is liable for any [of the company’s] debt.” (Page Six)
