Selena Gomez Says the Gloves are Off
Selena Gomez, who just released her third studio album “Rare,” opened up to Billboard about the process of recording songs that resonate with her fans and how she’s learned to put her physical and mental health before anyone else.
“I’ve said this before, but I used to be terrified of saying anything. I would find myself protecting people that never protected me or cared for me,” she said. “I was just done, you know? Just done being silent,” she added. “And I felt like I deserved to have a moment for myself, after going through so much, and throwing that all into this album. It wasn’t even a thought in my mind that I was doing the wrong thing.”
Meanwhile, Gomez has released a special “pop-up” version of her No. 1 hit “Lose You to Love Me.” The new video has fun facts and blurbs popping up at the bottom of the screen for viewers to see.
