TRU launches new program for trades students needing additional supports
KAMLOOPS β A new Trades Assistant program is being launched at Thompson Rivers University, for students with disabilities who need extra supports.
The program will be for those interested in working in construction, warehousing or landscaping.
The 32-week program starts in February and combines classroom, lab and practical experience on and off campus.
Project manager Jane Horton says students will be provided with hands-on, project-based and experiential learning opportunities.
