JEWEL CATCHES HEAT FOR RIDING DOLPHINS: Jewel‘s fans are upset over the 45-year-old singer’s activities while on vacation in the Grand Cayman Islands with her son Kase and her father Atz Kilcher. Among her activities was a day spent playing with dolphins, including riding them through the water. She wrote: “There was one dolphin for each foot- their nose pressed snugly into each arch. I started laying flat in the water, and they came up and pressed their noses into my feet and then start hauling! Swipe to see me first being lifted and then me launching myself … so. Much. Fun. These animals are so smart are kind and playful… what an honor to spend the day with them and their trainers.” Fans were horrified as the practice of swimming with dolphins is increasingly condemned. SILVIO HORTA DEAD IN APPARENT SUICIDE: Silvio Horta, the creator of ABC‘s Ugly Betty, was found dead in a Miami hotel room Tuesday. He was 45 and the cause of death is believed to be suicide. Sources tell Variety he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Horta created Ugly Betty on ABC, also serving as showrunner and head writer. (Variety)

JANA KRAMER TALKS BREASTFEEDING: Jana Kramer thinks “fed is best,” and admits that breastfeeding her 13-month-old baby boy Jace was never an option for her. The One Tree Hill alum admits she tried nursing her 4-year-old daughter Jolie, but: “I had no desire. I wasn’t breastfed. I didn’t feel like I had to have that connection with my baby. Personally, I don’t like my nipples being touched. I don’t like it. I don’t want someone sucking on ’em.” She continued, telling listeners of her Whine Down podcast: “I remember getting so much shame and so much hate.” Still, when she has her doubts, she remembers that a nurse told her that formula or breast, he was “going to be healthy one way or the other.” (People)
