Four-vehicle crash Tuesday near Golden kills one

GOLDEN, B.C. — A four-vehicle crash on the Trans Canada Highway near Golden has killed one person, according to RCMP.
The collision took place at about 3:10 p.m. local time Tuesday (Jan. 7), about 20 kilometres west of Golden.
According to a news release from Cpl. Mike Halskov of B.C. RCMP Traffic Services, first responders at the scene found two passenger vehicles and two commercial trucks involved.
Various authorities are investigating. Halskov says the cause of the crash is not yet known, but winter road conditions are believed to have been a factor.
