KAMLOOPS — Blazers young sensation Logan Stankoven will be donning the maple leaf in November, representing one of Canada’s three squads at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge next month.

The 16-year-old Stankoven from Kamloops is among 66 players that were named to the roster on Wednesday. He’s one of 14 players from the Western Hockey League.

The roster spot comes on the heels of an impressive U17 development camp this summer in Calgary where he scored twice and added two assists in three games.

In 11 games this season, Stankoven has three goals and two assists. The tournament runs Nov. 2-9 and is being co-hosted by Medicine Hat and Swift Current.
