KAMLOOPS — Children of all ages had fun Thursday afternoon at the 12th annual ‘Y Healthy Kids Day.’

Multiple fun stations were set up for kids at the John Tod Centre on the North Shore, including the always popular bouncy castle. It’s a day for the Kamloops YMCA and YWCA to advocate for healthy, active living for children and their families.

“We have a lot of kids that are on screens these days, and we want to get them healthy, get them active,” said the general manager of child, youth and family services at the John Tod Centre, Monica van der Meulen. “We have lots of community partners here that all offer different services through the community, so just letting families know what’s out there to support them.”
