Province to launch speed, signage review at notorious Cherry Creek intersection
KAMLOOPS — B.C.’s Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure says it will launch a speed review of a notorious stretch of the Trans Canada Highway west of Kamloops – but has stopped short of committing to road upgrades.
Tobiano resident Greg Gordon contacted the ministry earlier this year after witnessing a near disaster at the highway’s intersection with Rodeo Drive at Cherry Creek.
Gordon says it is commonplace to see vehicles waiting to turn left onto Rodeo Drive approached from behind by drivers, unaware of the danger, travelling at highway speed.
