Cpl. Jodi Shelkie with the Kamloops RCMP says officers are still investigating the fatal hit and run that occurred at roughly 1:30 a.m. Oct. 21 on Seymour Street in downtown Kamloops.

“This has led to new surveillance video being obtained which shows the suspect vehicle involved in hitting the 48-year-old man was not a Dodge Neon but rather, a cobalt blue four-door sedan with black rims,” Shelkie says in the release.

She adds that the make and model are unknown, but it’s believed the model year is between 2010 and 2019.

Police are also working with the registered owner to the Dodge Neon that was seized Wednesday, Oct. 24, as part of the investigation.

Shelkie is reiterating that the Kamloops RCMP detachment is asking for the public’s help in finding this new suspect vehicle. If you recognize it or have information about the owner or driver, call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
