Former longtime president of KIBIHT has died

KAMLOOPS — A longtime president of the Kamloops International Bantam Hockey Tournament has passed away.

Fred Cavanagh died yesterday after a short battle with cancer.

He had been associated with the Bantam Tournament for most of its first 40 years — and had served as the tournaments president for 14 years before stepping down in 2007.

Fred Cavanagh is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Donna and sons Chris and Bill, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
