Kamloops goaltender Kendra Woodland named AUS athlete of the week

KAMLOOPS — Goaltender Kendra Woodland, who plays for the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds, has been name the Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week.

Woodland, who is from Kamloops, stopped 65 of 69 shots in a pair of 2-1 overtime defeats on the weekend to Mount Allison and St. Thomas.

In both games she was named the second star of the game.

Woodland is in her first season with the UNB Varsity Reds.
