Man filmed rescuing stuck N.B. skunk: ‘It could have ended a lot worse’
CAMPBELLTON, N.B. — A skunk who got his head stuck in a small McFlurry cup has made a viral video star out of the New Brunswick man who undertook his risky rescue — and emerged unscathed.
“I was just thinking in my head, ‘You can’t leave an animal like that,’” said Mitch Isaac, a public works employee on Listuguj First Nation, just north of Campbellton, N.B.
Isaac’s rescue was caught on a video that has garnered thousands of views on Facebook.
He and a coworker, Alderic Martin, heard about the stuck skunk from a backhoe operator, and found it in a nearby driveway.
