Long Blades compete against international field

KAMLOOPS — Two members of the Kamloops Long Blades speed skating club competed at the first event of the EVO Western Elite Circuit in Calgary this past weekend.
This event featured over 100 skaters, including a large contingent of international skaters from China, Japan and Singapore.
Cameron Thomas achieved six personal best times, two each in the 500, 1000 and 1500 m events.
Martina Antifay has now qualified for the BC selection trials for short track speed skating for the upcoming Canada Winter Games to be held in 2019.
