Vibe go 3-and-1 to begin the new season

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Vibe Hockey Team started their 11th season in the SCWHL in Vancouver on Friday, September 28 with a 5-2 win over the Meadow Ridge Moose.  Marjorie Boisvert, Alyssa Reid, Jaclyn Frilund, Catriona Young and Rochelle Smith netting goals for the Vibe.  Saturday’s first game against South Fraser TNT,  always a fiesty affair, was 1-0 win with Melinda Smith scoring on the power play in the  second period.  Saturday evening the Vibe played the Richmond Devils with Marjory Boisvert for the Vibe scoring her second goal of the weekend in the first period in a 1-0 win.   Shots in this game were Vibe 33-9.  Kamloops playing their 4th game of the weekend against the Fraser Valley Jets, last year’s champions, lost 2-1.  Sarah Botter scored in the second period to tie it at one.  Early in the third the Jets score to go ahead.  Kamloops has a great start to their year winning 3 of 4 games in 3 days.
