October will bring new mayors to several Kamloops-area communities

KAMLOOPS — Ballots won’t be counted in this year’s local elections until Oct. 20, but CFJC Today can already confirm there will be several new mayors in the region.

The following mayors have confirmed they won’t be seeking re-election:

• Ashcroft Mayor Jack Jeyes
• Barriere Mayor Virginia Smith
• Chase Mayor Rick Berrigan
• Clearwater Mayor John Harwood
