IHIT investigating homicide near Boston Bar

BOSTON BAR, B.C. — A murder near Boston Bar has the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) seeking the public’s help.

IHIT was called in after Mounties discovered the body of a white woman in her late twenties Wednesday (Aug. 22) just before 8:00 p.m. north of Boston Bar near Highway 1.

“A man was arrested at the scene in connection to the homicide and has since been released from police custody,” says Cpl. Frank Jang. “IHIT continues to partner with the Hope RCMP, the Chilliwack RCMP Serious Crime Unit, the Integrated Forensic Identification Services and the B.C. Coroners Service to gather evidence.”

He says a white 1994 Chevrolet Astro Van was seized near the crime scene and is believed to be connected to the homicide.
