JARED LETO SET TO STAR IN NEW ‘SPIDER-MAN’ SPINOFF, MARVEL’s ‘MORBIUS’: Jared Leto is joining the Marvel universe, as he has agreed to star as the villain Morbius, which originated in the Spider-Man series, according to Variety. The Morbius character was created in 1971 for The Amazing Spider-Man #101. Dr. Morbius was a scientist who tried to cure himself of a blood disease, but instead became afflicted with vampire traits, and the villain’s nickname is the “Living Vampire”. Daniel Espinosa, who directed Safe House, will direct it. Leto was also the Joker for the DC Comics universe, but this role isn’t expected to affect his role as the Joker, in an origin movie that was announced earlier in June.

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO INSTAGRAMS FIRST PIC WITH BRAD PITT IN TARANTINO’S UPCOMING MOVIE: Leonard DiCaprio posted a picture on Instagram Wednesday (June 26th) with Brad Pitt on the set of Quentin Tarantino’s ’60s movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The movie deals with late ’60s Hollywood, with the neighbor of DiCaprio’s character being Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the Manson Family.

THE QUEEN’S GRANDDAUGHTER NAMES NEWBORN DAUGHTER LENA ELIZABETH: Zara Tindall, Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter through Princess Anne, gave birth on June 18th, and told The Telegraph Wednesday (June 27th) that the baby girl’s name is Lena (pronounced LAY-na) Elizabeth, in honor of the Queen. Us Weekly reports this is the 92-year-old Queen’s seventh great-grandchild.

BELLA THORNE UPSET SHE FOUND OUT HER SHOW GOT CANCELED ON TWITTER: According to Us Weekly, actress Bella Thorne found out her show, Famous In Love on Freeform, was canceled by seeing a tweet about an article on SpoilerTV.com. She wrote in her tweet, “If this is how I find out our show is canceled.. I’m going to be so upset. Very hurtful freeform. I woulda like a phone call maybe.”
