THE PROPOSAL CONTESTANT ACCUSED OF FACILITATING ASSAULT: ABC is pulling Episode 2 of its new reality series The Proposal. Erica Denae Meshke said that Michael J. Friday facilitated a sexual assault that took place when they met for a Tinder date. In a public post on Facebook, Meshke wrote: “One of the men pictured here was directly responsible for my date rape. After keeping this buried for nearly eight months, and seeing this man continue to succeed and not be held accountable for his actions, I’ve had enough. I’ve lost sleep, relationships, self-esteem, trust, and countless other things because of that night. And I’m done keeping it quiet.” She said that when they met for the first time, he was accompanied by two men in their 50s. She claims she was drugged and then taken into an upstairs room by one of the men and assaulted.

CATFISH RESUMES FILMING: After halting production in May when Catfish host and exec producer Nev Schulman was accused of misconduct, MTV has resumed production of the reality show. An investigation found the claims to be “not credible and without merit,” according to Deadline. “Although we never received a formal complaint, MTV and Critical Content immediately engaged an independent third party investigator,” said MTV in a statement given to Deadline. “The independent investigator found the allegations made in the YouTube videos to be not credible and without merit.”

WILMER VALDERRAMA SIGNS FIRST-LOOK DEAL WITH CBS IN DIVERSITY PUSH: NCIS‘s Wilmer Valderrama‘s WV Entertainment has signed a two-year first-look deal with CBS TV Studios. We’ve never been more in love,” they told People. The pair have been married since 2006.
