Bebe Rexha Gets Emotional
Bebe Rexha headed to Central Park bright and early Friday for a Good Morning America performance of “I’m a Mess,” which appears on her newly-arrived debut album Expectations. She also performed “I Got You” and “Meant To Be.”
In the lead-up to the album, Rexha released five singles, the country crossover hit “Meant to Be” with Florida Georgia Line, “I Got You,” “Ferrari,” “2 Souls on Fire,” and “I’m a Mess.”
Bebe was surprised with some awards while hitting the stage. Her debut album Expectations just came out, but it’s already gone gold, thanks to the streaming success of its songs – especially “Meant to Be,” which alone has racked up over a billion streams.
The 28-year-old received her 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards for two categories – The Freshest: Best New Artist and Mashup: Best Collaboration for her hit “Meant To Be” – by host Michael Strahan. The singer was so happy, she cried, saying “this is like my first award that I got like this, it’s cool.”
