TOMMY LEE CLAIMS HE PAID $130K FOR SON’S REHAB: Father and son have been engaging in combat via social media for weeks, and their war of words just continues to escalate. After Brandon Lee shared a video of his unconscious father on social media and wrote a threatening Father’s Day post, Tommy Lee, 55, he blasted him Monday night, claiming he recently shelled out thousands for his son’s rehab. “Rehab for son: $130,000, Party for son’s 21st birthday last year: $40,000,” he wrote. “Medical Bills after son knocks his father unconscious and uses ‘alcoholism’ as scapegoat: $10,000, Son acting like a victim on social media on father’s day: Priceless.” Much of their conflict appears to have stemmed from an argument between Tommy and Brandon’s mother, Pamela Anderson, who Tommy claims “enables” Brandon and Brandon claims Tommy abused. AUTHOR CLAIMS CHEVY CHASE GRABBED HIS CROTCH: Roy Sekoff, the founding editor of The Huffington Post, claims that Chevy Chase grabbed his crotch once. In a new bio titled Lacks Self Control: True Stories I Waiting Until My Parents Died to Tell, Sekoff describes a booze fueled wake for comedy writer Michael O’Donoghue in 1994. “He paused and offered me his hand. But as I went in for the handshake, he abruptly reached down and grabbed me by the crotch, his sizable mitt encasing the full three-piece set,” Sekoff recalls, according to Page Six. “Utterly flummoxed I didn’t pull back. ‘Nice balls!’ he bellowed … I looked down at my crotch, smiled, and referencing Chevy’s latest movie, which had recently opened to less than stellar reviews, said, ‘Wow … Y’know, maybe Cops and Robbersons didn’t suck as bad as I thought.’” (Page Six)
JUDD APATOW CALLS FOR FOX STARS TO CALL OUT NEWS COVERAGE: Judd Apatow is calling for Fox showrunners and talent to speak out about Fox News Channel‘s coverage of the Trump administration’s immigration policy, which includes separating kids from their families at the border. “I haven’t worked with Fox since 2002, wrote Apatow in one of a series of tweets. “That family promotes evil ideas and greed and corruption.. We all choose who to work with. I understand why that is easier for some than others but many powerful people are powerful enough to speak up to their bosses at a moment like this.” The “family” he is referencing is the Murdoch clan; Rupert Murdoch is exec chairman of Fox News parent 21stCentury Fox and CEO of Fox News Channel, and his children also hold powerful roles at the organization.
