Weekend Box Office Good for Incredibles 2

Incredibles 2 delivered the best animated film opening ever. With a $180 opening weekend, the Disney and Pixar film shot past Pixar‘s Finding Dory, which opened with $135 million two summer ago. It’s the third largest opener of the year, behind Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther, both from Disney’s Marvel Studios.

Worldwide, Incredibles 2 brought in about $231.5 million. The film is voiced by Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter and Samuel L. Jackson.

Incredibles 2 also provides a boost for Disney which just experienced a lackluster showing for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Ocean’s 8 landed in the No. 2 slot with $19.6 million for a 10-day domestic total of $79.2 million. Tag opened at No. 3 with $17 million, while Solo slinked in at No. 4 with $9.1 million.
