After persuading President Donald Trump to pardon and free non-violent drug offender Alice Marie Johnson from her life sentence, Kim Kardashian is hoping she can move the White House to look at lessening drug sentences in general.

Kardashian appeared on NBC’s The Today Show with Johnson, a 63-year-old grandmother who admitted she had no idea who the KKW mogul was when she contacted her.

“Kim has been anointed to do this,” Johnson said on Today.

Kardashian, who first shared Johnson’s story with her 60 million Twitter followers in November, said she was determined to free her, reaching out to first Ivanka Trump, who put her in touch with her husband Jared Kushner, who eventually set up a meeting with Trump. A week after Trump and Kardashian met, Johnson was free.
