According to Mayor Jack Jeyes, the village has been working to get a new water treatment plant for at least 10 years.

Ashcroft’s current water treatment is chlorine, and with the high water running through town, the turbidity is very high. 

“That impacts our people that are mostly at risk, the seniors and the young ones,” Jeyes said. “With the new water treatment plant we will not only add chlorine, but we will have a filtration system that will remove the turbidity and thus give us great water year-round.”
