Cardi B Cancels

Cardi B has announced that she is taking a break from performing due to her pregnancy. Bardi took to social media and revealed that D.C.’s Broccoli City Music Festival on Saturday (April 28th) will be her final performance before she gives birth. She said, “Broccoli Fest will be my last performance for a little while. Shorty keep growing and I be lookin’ like I’m moving and everything, but in reality, a b*tch barely can breathe. I want to thank y’all for understanding. I’ll be back for the Bruno Mars tour.”

Cardi has canceled shows in Texas, Florida, Norway and Ireland, as well as her festival spot at Panorama Festival in New York. She performed last night (April 26th) at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in Las Vegas.

  • According to Rap-Up, Cardi is reportedly expecting her first child in July and will hit the road with Bruno Mars in September.

CARDI B FACING $10 MILLION LAWSUIT AGAINST FORMER MANAGER

In other news, the Bronx rapper has been sued by her former manager Shaft for $10 million for “breach of contract, unjust enrichment and defamation.” According to Complex, Shaft has worked with Cardi since 2015, but has been “frozen out of her career.” In a statement released to Complex, a spokesperson for Shaft said, “Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image. While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint. Shaft is confident that his lawsuit will validate his conduct and substantiate his legal claims.” Court documents obtained by Complex also said that Shaft claimed that Cardi “falsely communicat[ed]” to her fianc Offset and members of her team that “Shaft is robbing me.” Offset reportedly convinced Cardi to sign with Quality Control.

A source said that Shaft played a role in Cardi appearing on VH1‘s Love & Hip Hop. He also reportedly helped with “Bodak Yellow,” which was written and produced by his team. It has also been claimed that Cardi sought after Shaft to do business.
