KAMLOOP — Kamloops rinks opened with wins at the B.C. women’s curling championship.
2016 provincial champion Karla Thompson defeated Nanaimo’s Kesa Van Osch 8-5.
Former Canadian junior champion Corryn Brown was a 7-5 winner over Holly Donaldson of Victoria.
The Kim Slattery rink from Vernon also won its first game.
