KAMLOOPS — City planning staff put in a little overtime this weekend, as they held the first of three OCP Roadshows, at Northhills mall on Saturday.

The roadshows are part of Phase 2 of the KAMPLAN ‘Let’s Talk’ process. City staff are seeking public input about the Official Community Plan, and the long term vision of the city, over the next two decades.

Community Planning Supervisor Jason Locke says the Roadshows are an opportunity for residents of the city to engage with staff about how the city will continue to grow in the coming years. If you missed this weekends events, there are still opportunities to have your say in the next two weeks

“Next week, June 11th, we’ll be out at the Farmer’s Market in the morning from 8:00am until noon,” Locke told CFJC Today. “On June 18th, we’re at Aberdeen Mall, from 11:00am until 2:00pm, making sure we get around all over the city, and have that chance to have the public come… and tell us what they think.”

There are several opportunities to participate in the KAMPLAN process. For more info, you can visit www.kamloops.ca/letstalk.
