Murder charge laid in Celista triple shooting
CELISTA, B.C. — A 59-year-old Celista man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the triple shooting in the Shuswap town Sunday.
RCMP say Richard Allen Williams was arrested Thursday and formally charged Friday with attempted murder, break and enter, wearing a disguise with intent, discharge a firearm with intent.
Police also say the shooting has turned into a murder investigation. A victim, an unidentified man of 50, has died in hospital.
RCMP say the Southeast District Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate the man’s death.
