Celista shooting victims remain in hospital

CELISTA, B.C. — Two men remain in hospital and a suspect is still on the loose following a shooting Sunday evening in the small Shuswap community of Celista.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk of Southeast RCMP says the shooting happened around 7 p.m. Sunday at a residence in Celista. Three men sustained gunshot wounds in the incident and were rushed to hospital. One of the victims has been released with what police are calling minor injuries, while the other two are still in hospital care.

Southeast RCMP and Major Crimes are assisting Chase RCMP in the investigation. There is no whereabouts of a suspect.
