Bikini Bill’s loses its tops… and bottoms

KAMLOOPS — A downtown Kamloops swimwear store is both topless and bottomless today.

Early this morning, thieves smashed a display window at Bikini Bill’s and made off with three mannequins clothed in bikinis.

Corporal Cheryl Bush of Kamloops RCMP says the thieves didn’t make any attempt to enter the rest of the store.

“We don’t know exactly what the motive was behind this,” said Bush. “They did smash the window which, in turn, costs the business owner.”

Bush says the value of the stolen swimsuits is about $450.

She notes the store’s losses also include the value of the mannequins and the cost of replacing the window.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
