Kamloops council to consider unique Indigenous housing project

KAMLOOPS — Another affordable housing proposal will come before Kamloops council Tuesday.

Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services (LMO) is proposing a 31-unit housing project on city-owned property at the corner of Singh Street and Lethbridge Avenue in Brocklehurst.

KAMLOOPS — New Life Community has been on front line of the fight against homelessness in the city of Kamloops for decades. The organization wouldn’t be able to help the number of people they do without the help of the community.

Investigators suspect unattended candle caused Westsyde house fire

KAMLOOPS — An unattended candle is the suspected cause of a fire that caused significant damage to a home on Bank Rd. in Westsyde Wednesday evening. 

The flames quickly engulfed the small home, leaving three Kamloops residents without a place to lay their heads.
