Since 2007, Tanya has been a part of the CFJC Today Team. Working first on the radio side as a weekend anchor, she quickly moved into television, where she has been reporting and anchoring, even filling in as the weather personality, ever since. Tanya was born and raised in North Vancouver, and has been a news junkie for as long as she can remember. She attended BCIT and graduated from the Broadcast Radio Program in 2005. From there, Tanya spent time interning at CTV, before being hired at Shaw TV in Vancouver to host hourly news breaks. One year later, she made the move to Kamloops to join the CFJC-TV family. Tanya's favourite part of the job is meeting people and hearing their stories. She loves that everyday is different and there's always opportunity to learn something new. A musical theatre 'fanatic' Tanya has been performing since she could talk, and has held lead roles in several Musical Theatre productions around Vancouver. With a passion for singing and dancing, her first love is the stage. Outside of work she makes sure to fulfill that passion, keeping it alive. Tanya loves to travel, vacationing in Hawaii and Europe, visiting family in Ireland and making the short drive to Vancouver as often as possible, to see family and friends. Most importantly, when she's not gathering news stories, Tanya can be found spending quality time with her husband and their son.

It's a constant reminder of the ultimate sacrifice our soldiers have made. The Memorial Hill Cenotaph in Kamloops holds hundreds of local names, commemorating soldiers who lost their lives. The historic landmark sits on the corner of 2nd and Battle Street.
