Weekend by-election in the CRD

WILLIAMS LAKE — Area “E” residents living southwest of Williams Lake are getting set to cast their ballots in a weekend by-election.
It takes place on Saturday and is being held to fill the vacancy created by the death of former Area “E” director Byron Kemp.
Candidates Angie Delaney and Melynda Neufeld are both vying to fill the position.
The polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The CRD says just 55 voters took advantage of advance voting opportunities.
