Brown rink moves to 4-1 at U SPORTS curling nationals

KAMLOOPS — The Corryn Brown rink representing Thompson Rivers University remains tied atop the standings after draw five, winning 8-5 against Wilfrid Laurier on Monday.

Brown scored deuces three times during the victory, including a steal of two in the sixth end, which was the difference in the game. The entire Brown team curled well during the match with Brown curling at 82 per cent, while Erin Pincott was near-perfect with a 96 per cent shotmaking percentage. 

Thompson Rivers is on the ice against Regina at 4 p.m. in the sixth draw of the tournament. The Wolfpack remain tied for first in the U SPORTS Curling Championship standings with Brock University, which TRU defeated 8-2 on Sunday.
