REVELSTOKE, B.C. —   Two young men have been rescued from a mountain near Revelstoke after they got lost on a snowmobiling trip and were forced to spend a night in the frigid elements.

R-C-M-P Corporal Thomas Blakney says the 24-year-old Kelowna residents were reported missing Saturday afternoon when they failed to return their rented sleds as scheduled after spending the day on Boulder Mountain.

Search and rescue crews spent five hours looking for the pair on Saturday night, then returned early yesterday morning, and the men were found around 1 p-m, cold but in good health.

Blakney says it appears one of the snowmobiles ran out of fuel and the men got disoriented when they tried to find their way off the mountain.
