CALGARY, AB—The Mount Royal Cougars outscored the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack in every quarter and knocked off the visitors 91-74 in Canada West men’s basketball action on Friday night (Nov 24).
The WolfPack have lost seven in a row. They were led offensively by Michael Rouault (3rd year, guard, Venron, BC) and Joe Davis (3rd year, forward, Kamloops, BC). Both had 16 points.
The WolfPack did out rebound the Cougars 39-34 in the ball game. Mount Royal’s bench outscored TRU’s 18-9 in the contest.
Two other TRU players were in double figures. Nolan Willett (2nd year guard, Calgary, AB) 15 points while Luke Morris (5th year, forward, Mission, BC) added 10 points.

The WolfPack and Cougars will battle again Saturday afternoon ( 6pm MDT) in Calgary. The WolfPack return home to entertain the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves Friday and Saturday (Dec 1-2) on the Warner Rentals Court at the Tournament Capital Centre. Those are the final games before the Christmas break.
