WolfPack men’s basketball drop first of two at Mount Royal

CALGARY, AB—The Mount Royal Cougars  outscored the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack in every quarter and knocked off the visitors 91-74 in Canada West men’s basketball action on Friday night (Nov 24).

The WolfPack have lost seven in a row.   They were led offensively by Michael Rouault (3rd year, guard, Venron, BC) and Joe Davis (3rd year, forward, Kamloops, BC).  Both had 16 points.

SYNOPSIS

The WolfPack did out rebound the Cougars 39-34 in the ball game.  Mount Royal’s bench outscored TRU’s 18-9 in the contest.

Two other TRU players were in double figures. Nolan Willett (2nd year guard, Calgary, AB) 15 points while Luke Morris (5th year, forward, Mission, BC) added 10 points.

Mount Royal had 23 points from Josh Ross.  Mount Royal was up 35-29 at the half
