Ranta re-elected chair of TNRD board

KAMLOOPS — John Ranta has been re-elected chair of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

The Cache Creek mayor beat out lone challenger, Area “I” Director Steven Rice, at today’s regular board meeting.

Board chairs are elected to one year terms. This will be Ranta’s fourth year.

On Wednesday, Ranta told CFJC Today he decided to run again because the board was working well together adding he saw  little “reason to change just for the sake of change.”
