Two killed in Highway 5 crash

KAMLOOPS — Two people are dead following a two-vehicle collision on the Yellowhead this morning about 18 kilometres north of Blue River.
South East District RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says it happened at around 8 a.m. and involved a minivan and a private tour bus.
“On attendance, RCMP investigators were able to determine that a northbound Dodge Caravan had crossed the centreline of the undivided highway and had collided with a southbound chartered/private tour bus,” he says.
“It has been confirmed that the two occupants of the BC registered minivan, the male driver in his 60s and a female passenger in her 40s were pronounced deceased at the scene. One individual in the bus received minor injuries.”
