TRU Wolfpack baseball wins another against Dominican Republic

Kamloops, BC—The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack came out with another big victory as they continued their exhibition baseball series against Universidad Technologica de Santiago (UTESA).

Playing at Norbrock Stadium on Friday (Sept 15), the Pack beat the Dominican club 14-9 for their third straight win.

Bryant Jameus was the winner as he pitched three innings, giving up a hit, a walk and struck out four.

Offensively, TRU was led by Zac Comeault who was 3 for 4 with a home run, two stolen bases and three runs batted in.  Canadian Collegiate Baseball Confrence all-star Vance Fode was 2 for 4 with a home run and three runs battedin.

Veteran infielder and CCBC all-star Josh Hillis was also 2 for 4 with two runs batted in.

UTESA led 9-0 after scoring all nine runs in the second inning.  TRU scored seven runs of their own in their half of the seventh inning.

Today (Saturday),  TRU has a doubleheader against the Okanagan A’s of Kelowna at 10 am and noon.  They will close out their series with the Dominican’s Sunday (Sept 17) at noon at Norbrock.
